Intel proplem is they release a cpu every year and 3rd/2nd gen in the same mobo are the last of this mobo and they are usually a refressh and then why you need to upgrade 4 years later the best cpu on this mobo is already unavailable and mid range CPUs already destroy it Like 11900k is already old and it is worse than even 13400f so 10600k owners don't have upgrade path and need a whole new mobo and cpu Cause 11900k and 11700k are unavailable and very expensive in second hand market

Amd might messed up 9000 so intel needs good product also, amd 9000 might have some problems somewhere that no one knows how to fix because it should overperform amd 7000 and intel 14 gen... but that kind of problems should not happen in this age

my 13900k even after x129 runs 90c+ and gets stability lock ups and BSOD. Ive tried everything form undervolt and even swapped AIO and nothing helps it. Its hot no matter what and voltage will run .7 volts at idle but spikes 1.58v constantly.

Both amd and Intel are in a bad era for high performance chips. I own both 7950x3d and 14900k and both have their own issues. I use the 14900k now after deliding and extensive BIOS work to get it performing higher than stock and being stable at a cool temp. No chip needs to go through that much work just to get to its capabilities. My 7950x3d is instable for my extensive work with Adobe and scripts I run compared to my 14900k with the amd chip hitting high voltage as well. Only prop I can say is, it's more power efficient than the Intel chip

It doesn't beat the 9950X remember Win11 bugs 9950X. Plus 9950X is running on X670 motherboard not latest. Plus AMD still need to update their Agesa for 9000 series. So yeah 9000 series isn't using their fullest potential yet. Ofcourse it beats the 9950X now with all these performance hold backs but 9950X can be improved and 285K can't. Once their X870 boards are out and Agesa you will see how AMD beats Intel and that 285K only beats 9950X at 250W! When the 9950X is using curve/PBO, the 285K loses hard! Sure Intel is fast but not fast enough and the heat is crazy compared to 9000 series AMD chips run cooler and efficient. Then there is X3D coming soon in Dec those even have slightly higher single core performance plus they can OC it.

Geekbench is a joke. 9950X is a little bit faster than 9900X in multicore in Geekbench. it means Geekbench cant use all cores good enough.

AMD already had the 5600X3D, which could be considered the direct predecessor to the 7600X3D, and now they also want to put out a 5500X3D (also 6 cores, but i think lower clock speeds than the 5600X3D) so the 6 core X3D chips seem to work reasonably well for them.

And there is me still enjoying my GTX1080 OC'd to 2100 MHZ for the last 6 years and it still kicks bells in VR as I only Play VR Driving / Flying or shooting games. Yes, bring out the 5 series so I can get that 3080/3090 so much cheaper 😂😂😂😂

to be honest these chips are nothing until next year with intel's new fett chips with less power cons but need to wait for the factory upgrades which is sad and i have a feeling they are going to out-do AMD by alot................

32 compute units @ 2560 cores is the same as a gtx 1080. But faster core clock. GTX 1080 has a 1733 MHz boost clock, where this APU should have 2755 MHz. Let that sink in. An APU with a GTX 1080 that boosts as high as current 4090 cards. That's Insane.

My last pc build was a Ryzen 5700G, no discrete graphics card. Cheaper, less bulky, less heat generation, less noise, less power usage, and works fine for everything I need including gaming. Sure I'm not someone who needs 120fps at super high resolutions but apart from that market I don't see why you'd go for a separate graphics card now. Unless you buy intel, lol.
